Hosting terms
Last updated 19 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy hosting, email or domain services from us. “We”, “us” and “our” mean Ignite Systems Ltd, trading as Borg Digital, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 05137882). By ordering or using our services you agree to these terms. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
1. Using our services
- Our services may be used for lawful purposes only.
- You must not host, link to or send material that breaks UK law or infringes someone else’s rights. This includes pirated software, hacking tools, malware, phishing pages, obscene or abusive material and anything that damages our servers or anyone else’s.
- No spam, open mail relays, bots, file-sharing, media streaming, backup or archive storage, or free hosting for third parties on our shared platform.
- If we find illegal or harmful content we may suspend the account straight away, and we will report illegal activity to the authorities. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will contact you first so you can put things right.
- You are responsible for your account, for everyone you give access to, and for any claims that arise from the content you host. You agree to cover our costs if we suffer a loss or a claim because of how your account is used.
2. Fair use
We don’t set hard limits on disk space or bandwidth, but this is subject to fair use. If your account uses far more than a typical customer, we may ask you to move to a bigger plan or to a different server. We won’t charge you for moving you.
3. Domains
- We register .uk domains through Nominet and other domains through trusted registrar partners. Each registry’s own terms also apply to you.
- We can’t guarantee a domain is available. If a domain you’ve paid for can’t be registered, we will refund you in full.
- Please keep your contact details up to date. Registrars may reject registrations with incorrect details, and renewal reminders go to the email address we hold for you.
- Domains renew every year and are invoiced before they expire. If you don’t want to renew, tell us at least 14 days before expiry.
- A domain that isn’t renewed is suspended. It can usually be renewed at the normal price within 30 days. After that a redemption fee of £80 + VAT applies, and after 90 days the domain may be deleted and released for anyone to register.
4. Billing and payment
- Services are invoiced in advance, usually monthly or yearly, and invoices are due by the date shown on them.
- You can pay by GoCardless Direct Debit or by bank transfer. We never store card details.
- If an invoice goes unpaid we will send reminders. If it stays unpaid, we may suspend and then close the account.
5. Cancellations and refunds
- New hosting comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
- To cancel, email us at least 7 days before your renewal date. We don’t refund part-months.
- If you have paid a year up front and cancel, we will refund any unused whole months, as long as you give notice by the 25th of the month before.
- Domain registration fees can’t be refunded once the registrar’s grace period has passed.
- When a service ends, the data in it (websites, databases, mailboxes) is deleted. Please take a copy first. You can transfer domains away free of charge once your account is paid up.
6. Backups
We take regular backups of hosting accounts. You should still keep your own copies of anything important. We can’t be held responsible for data that can’t be recovered.
7. Uptime and maintenance
We aim for 99.99% uptime, measured over a rolling 12 months. When we need to do planned maintenance, we tell you in advance and do it overnight (UK time) where we can.
8. Support
Email hello@borg.digital or call 07477 133249. We support our direct customers. If you resell hosting, you look after your own customers and come to us with any platform issues.
9. Our liability
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profit, lost business or lost data, caused by downtime, configuration problems or data loss. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us for the affected service over the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law.
10. Suspension, refusal and complaints
- We may refuse, suspend or cancel a service if these terms are broken.
- To report abuse or make a complaint, email hello@borg.digital. We acknowledge complaints within 1 working day and aim to resolve them within 5 working days. If it’s about a .uk domain and you’re still unhappy, you can escalate to Nominet.
11. Changes and law
We may update these terms from time to time, and the current version is always on this page. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
